The Systolic blood pressure for healthy adults falls between 90 and 120 mm Hg. Low blood pressure or hypotension, is a pressure measurement so low, it causes symptoms, due to the insufficient flow of blood through the arteries and veins. A moderate systolic blood pressure is required to get blood to the far branches of veins, and remove waste matter. When the flow of blood is too low to deliver the necessary amount of oxygen and nutrients to vital organs, such as the brain, heart, and kidneys, the organs do not function properly, and may become permanently damaged. Everyone should have control over both, their systolic blood pressure and their diastolic pressure, and utilize herbal supplement remedies to prevent hypotension.
Patients with a low systolic blood pressure, can feel lightheaded, dizzy, and very faint. The transition from sitting or laying, to a standing position, often reveal the symptoms of hypotension, due to the settlement of blood in the veins of the lower body. With a low systolic measurement, insufficient blood pressure is available, to deliver blood to the coronary arteries. This may lead to chest pain, a symptom of angina, and even a heart attack. A systolic blood pressure that is too low may also prevent fresh blood from reaching the kidneys, and thus causing the kidneys to fail, when they attempt to eliminate wastes from the body. This results in an increase in the levels of urea and creatinine in the blood.
In relatively healthy individuals, symptoms of weakness, dizziness, and fainting spells, raise the suspicion of a low systolic blood pressure, or hypotension. Often the symptoms are none, and a heart attack that has occurred is the cause of the symptoms. In patients with symptomatic, systolic low blood pressure, there is often a noticeable drop in blood pressure upon standing up. These patients may even have developed orthostatic symptoms. A Low systolic blood pressure can be achieved and maintained through the use of natural herb and vitamin supplements, and can significantly reduce the risk of heart disease.
